The Role:
As an Assistant Controller, you play a crucial role in the financial management and analysis of our organization. You will contribute to achieving our business objectives through accurate financial analyses while ensuring the financial integrity of our shared service center.
You will work with a dynamic team to achieve the financial goals of our organization. You report to the Financial Manager and work closely with colleagues within the team. Your role includes managing financial processes and providing financial information and analysis to management.
As an Assistant Controller, you and your colleagues are responsible for the daily affairs of the financial administrations of the various companies. You work intensively together, know how to connect with the rest of the organization and together ensure that the administration is taken care of on time and down to the last detail.
Responsibilities:
• Preparing and reporting the monthly, quarterly and annual figures.
• Prepare balance sheet specifications;
• Preparing analyzes and management information (including in Power BI)
• Sales tax, ICP and Intrastat returns;
• Establishing and improving internal financial processes and procedures;

Requirements:
Knowledge:
You have a thorough knowledge of financial principles and accounting procedures. In addition, you have strong analytical skills and can present complex financial information in an understandable way to various stakeholders.
Financial Software:
You have experience with financial software and systems, such as SAP, Oracle or similar programs, and can use them effectively for financial analysis and reporting.
Communication:
You communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, and can translate complex financial concepts into understandable language for non-financial colleagues.
Teamwork:
You are a team player who can work well with colleagues from different departments and levels within the organization. You can also work independently and take initiative where necessary.
Problem solving ability:
You are able to identify, analyze and solve financial problems. You proactively take measures to manage possible risks and seize opportunities.
Accuracy and Integrity:
You work accurately and have an eye for detail when carrying out financial tasks. You always act with integrity and in accordance with the applicable financial guidelines and regulations.

You show initiative and are proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the financial function of our organization.

You are known for your reliability and can be trusted with confidential financial information. You take your responsibilities seriously and keep your agreements.
