PR & Brand Internship

Full-time  \  Amsterdam

Wanted: PR & Brand Intern
TBWA is known as the Disruption Company. By breaking conventions we create space for growth. With our creative ideas we know how to change companies and determine culture. And we can use reinforcement! We're looking for two PR & Brand Interns: one for TBWA\NEBOKO and one for TBWA\X. What inspires you and how you think is just as important to us as your education or background. Sounds good? Read on!

About the internship
You are THE go-to people when it comes to press and press releases, communicating new work or noteworthy events, but also organizing (relation) parties and events. You advertise your own advertising agency and are the voice to the outside world.

On an average day you are busy maintaining our social media channels. For this you think up, collect and plan content. You will also help with the creation of press releases and other expressions, maintain the website and contribute ideas for events such as 'Cannes aan de Schinkel' and projects like 'Share the Stage'.

Because the PR Department is small, you will work together as a team. However, you will also get the opportunity to work on assignments independently. PR affects the whole company, so you will be in constant contact with other departments and interns at our creative agency.

About you
Whatever the goal is, you go for it. Obstacles? No problem! You know how to exceed expectations time and time again. You are naturally curious and willing to learn new things and not afraid to make mistakes. You love new challenges and are interested in social media, press and marketing. You are socially and communicatively strong. In addition, you are sharp, not afraid to chase people and you dare to give your own input.

Requirements
  • You are available for 5-6 months, starting February 1st, 2024.
  • You are fluent in both Dutch and English.
  • You are enrolled in a study program of which your internship is a part and you can provide a statement of your internship (this is a must).
What will you get in return?
  • Learning fast (and a lot).
  • Working for big brands.
  • An internship allowance.
  • Lots of great colleagues who inspire you and take care of each other.
  • You will become part of a close group of interns from various departments.
  • 'NebokoLabs' and other cool learning experiences.
  • Various events and weekly drinks in our own bar including sunny terrace by the water.
  • And if those internship months weren't enough... Quite a few interns stick around for their first (and sometimes even second and third) job. So who knows!

Our Departments

Account
Here you will be the point of contact for our clients. It’s a fast track to understand the different departments and our processes. You’re good at getting things done, and great at working with people. You’re organized, love an overview and are keen to handle a project (or a few) by yourself.

Strategy
If your mind is constantly curious, and you find yourself asking “why?” a lot, then perhaps strategy is for you. Here you dig deep into brand and consumer insights, trends and shifts in culture. You make sure that this informs the best strategy, for both the client and our creatives.

Creative
In the creative department… well, we get creative. It’s where we take our strategic thinking and the needs of the client to work out the story we need to tell our audience. These are writers, art directors, creative directors and many other disciplines that love to find weird and wonderful ways to make our clients and campaigns sing, and make their audience think and feel. *Applicants for creative internships are required to submit a portfolio.

MAKE
Once we’re ready to start making, production comes in. This is where we actually make our image, video, sound and everything in between. It’s high energy, and it’s here that our concepts and ideas come to life.

TBWA\X
This is our digital arm. It focuses on building and developing all kinds of apps and websites for our brands to create a digital consumer journey for their products.

Design
Working closely with creative, the design department brings our visual ideas to life and make sure they function well on their intended platform or medium. Design requires a keen eye for detail, and a good understanding of grid systems, colour theory, typography and how each of these elements come together.  *Applicants for design internships are required to submit a portfolio.

Social
When campaigns are ready to live out and grow in the world of social, we bring in our social squad. If you know social, and think you have an idea on what brands can do on these platforms (or you’re keen to learn), then this might well be for you. An internship in this department means that you support the social creatives with your brilliant ideas and design or edit skills.

PR
PR looks after how we are seen as an agency. It makes sure we’re known and look our best in front of (future) clients, press, (future) colleagues, and our industry. This includes maintaining our website and social media, organizing events and handling (inter)national  press. Strong writing skills, flexibility and creative thinking are very welcome here.
